RIPON AND LOWER DALES METHODIST CIRCUIT — Community Link Enabler
To help fulfil our Circuit Moving Forward Vision of developing the work in our churches and local communities we are seeking to appoint a Community Link Enabler to join our team. The post will be focused in the central and southern parts of our circuit, that is the City of Ripon, the market towns of Boroughbridge and Masham, and the surrounding villages and will require close cooperation with the ministers of that area.
The post will involve
- community development through groups that already exist and researching and developing new ways of being church.
- enhancing the pastoral care of an increasingly ageing membership and community rolls that are often unable to attend church and would appreciate more regular contact
The salary will be in line with the Methodist Church Living Wage (currently £8.45 ph) for a part time position of 20 hours a week — very flexible working which may include some evening and weekend work as required. Additional hours may be agreed from time to time to deliver particular projects and reasonable expenses will be paid. The initial appointment will be for 3 years and may be extended subject to securing funding.
The post is a Circuit appointment with oversight from the superintendant.
To apply please send CV with a covering letter: by email: email@example.com.
