Kirkby Malzeard is a delightful North Yorkshire village which, in recent years, has seen some considerable housing development. It is well served by local amenities — it has a shop, school, garage, pub, doctor's surgery, village hall (which is well used by local groups) , tea shop, a church and a chapel.

The chapel has recently completed the third phase of a small building scheme, all of which was designed to make the building more open and accessible to the local community, at whose heart it seeks to be.

The forward looking and faithful congregation meet for worship each Sunday.

The regular congregation are open to new worship experiences — they were amongst the first in the circuit to embrace café worship and messy church. Once a quarter they plan and lead worship themselves, and those who attend always come away richly blessed.

In the autumn and spring a ladies group meets fortnightly; during lent, and at harvest and Christmas, we worship with our friends from the parish church and the chapel opens its doors once a month on a Tuesday morning for a coffee drop in as a way of reaching out into the community. It is a great source of delight that during the summer months we are able to welcome into our coffee morning and into worship many visitors who come to stay in the various holiday cottages and caravan parks which surround Kirkby.

We would be pleased to welcome you.
