Saturday March 25th Matthew 19 : 29-30

Everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

We live in a very materialistic world where personal possessions are more important than love to the unloved. We all need to go the extra mile. At a job interview I was asked what was my leadership style. The reply was 'by example'. Do we as Christians lead by example?

Giving to God -how often do we visit sick people and come away feeling that we have received more than we have given? God has given his love to us and this needs to be shared with others.

This hymn is a wonderful reminder that we need to give our lives to God

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

Are you a giver of God's love so freely given to us?
If we give we surely receive.

Loving God, we pray that others will come to know your love by the way we live and give to those people that we meet everyday.
