This is not your typical village church, but, a church that is looking to and embracing the future.

A number of years ago the pews were removed and a beautiful and atmospheric space created that enhances worship and concert alike.

A mug of coffee or tea if you prefer is always available and the feeling of belonging greets you from the onset.

Junior church is on a Sunday morning as well as morning worship and on the first Sunday of the month an evening service replaces the morning one.

This church has the advantage of a new hall on the rear of the premises which was built in partnership with the local community and is used to great effect with varied meetings, Fellowship and WI. A youth club is run on every other Friday night by local volunteers and is a huge success with 35 plus young people attending and enjoying themselves. If you are moving to the area or visiting, please come and see us and we'll put the kettle on!

Carthorpe opens its (new) doors! Some of the members of Carthorpe chapel on Nov 19th after the opening/dedication of the new glazed front door. After a well supported gift day and a donation from the circuit these doors are now in use. At the service we were reminded that doors were symbolic of our way into the heart of God, and into worship; our way out to serve the world and were transparent as we should be as servants of Jesus Christ. The Centre of the door has a cross in raised relief, a reminder that we come to God through Jesus Christ. The servie closed with the usual delicious home-made refreshments.
