Carthorpe opens its (new) doors! Some of the members of Carthorpe chapel on Nov 19th after the opening/dedication of the new glazed front door. After a well supported gift day and a donation from the circuit these doors are now in use. At the service we were reminded that doors were symbolic of our way into the heart of God, and into worship; our way out to serve the world and were transparent as we should be as servants of Jesus Christ. The Centre of the door has a cross in raised relief, a reminder that we come to God through Jesus Christ. The servie closed with the usual delicious home-made refreshments.
