It is a real pleasure to welcome you to our Methodist Church, and to introduce you to all we do and are.
From its inception our renewed church building has been designed with you and the community in mind. Easy, all area access means that everyone can now share in and enjoy all that is on offer here – not just on Sundays, but throughout the week too.
We are a worshipping congregation, who seek to serve the wider community throughout the week. We offer space for any community group which promotes human well-being, in body, mind and spirit.
Sunday Worship services are held at 10:30am each week. There is also a 9am Holy Communion Service on the third Sunday. Various afternoon and evening services take place during the year.
Mondays: Arts & Craft Groupat 1.30pm on 1st and 3rd Mondays – bring any craft you are working and enjoy coffee and conversation as you work.
Bible Study Group meet 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
Tuesdays: Open Doors from 9.00 -11.30am, with a short Communion service at 9.30am on 2nd Tuesday; on other weeks there will short time of prayer for the community. The morning is a time for friendship and care in a less busy environment
Wednesdays: Talk Life, another chance to meet up for fellowship and care, this time in the Courtyard Café, Bedale. Held on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 10.15 – 11.45am.
Prayer Time- the church is open from 7pm each Wednesday for private prayer, with a short act of worship at 7:20pm.
Thursdays: Bible Journaling; 1st Thursday at 6.30pm, a more creative way to study the Bible.
Saturdays: Coffee morning every week, 10am-12 noon, with Bacon Butties and scones. On the 1st Saturday each month is Men's breakfast, a chance for the menfolk to meet for conversation over a meal.
The Church is also well used by our local community;currently we have sessions of Friendship Choir, Keep Fit (Move It or Lose It), Pilates, Ukulele and Yoga.
As Christians we believe that all people are made in God's image and welcome anyone and everyone to spend time in this place.
If you need peace, may you find it here;
If you are looking for healing and wholeness, may you be blessed here;
if you are seeking companionship, then may you make friends here;
If you're seeking God, then may God find you here.
