The Methodist Church building is now closed. The small but faithful congregation are meeting together for fellowship and at St Andrews Lady Chapel on the last Sunday of the month, where they have been warmly welcomed. They join together with Grewelthorpe St James on the 3rd Sunday of the month.

Kirkby Malzeard is a delightful North Yorkshire village which, in recent years, has seen some considerable housing development. It is well served by local amenities – it has a shop, school, garage, pub, doctor's surgery, village hall (which is well used by local groups) , tea shop, and a church.
